STRAWBERRIES

Mexico:

Harvest Status: Light harvests have begun.

Santa Maria:

Quality: Quality is good with nice shape, color, and sheen.

Volume: Volume continues to increase with peak production estimated to start in October. 

Pack Counts: Conventional Fall Crop: 14-16-18 ct depending on ranch
Organic Fall Crop: 14-16, 20-22 ct.

Watsonville/Salinas:

Quality: Quality is good overall with soft, overripe fruit being the only defect.

Volume: Production estimates have increased for the next few weeks. Labor is still tight.

Pack Counts: Conventional: 20-22-25 ct.
Organic: 28-30 ct.

BLUEBERRIES

Mexico:

Quality: Quality is great.
 

Volume: Volume is increasing each week with peak production estimated to start in week 41.

South America:

Quality: Quality is great with high bloom, sweet flavor, and good firmness.
 
Volume: Conventional shipments are arriving in the US after a few delays. The first organic containers are expected to arrive at the beginning of October.

Quality: Quality is good overall with occasional soft tips. 

Volume: Production is increasing each week.
