Oxnard - The area had record temps last week – Sunday was 95 degrees, Monday was 90 degrees and Tuesday was in the high 80’s. This past weekend temps cooled down to the mid-70’s. The next ten days are forecasted to be dry.

Quality is gradually coming back after the last rains. Counts range from 18-24 depending on the variety.

Labor is tightening up and is moving north.

Santa Maria - Daytime temps will be in the low 70’s/high 60’s, with nighttime lows in the high 40’s through next Thursday. We received rain last Friday, and the winds are suppose to pick up this week.

Quality is improving. Harvests are still light but there is a lot of green fruit on the plants that’s about 2-3 weeks out.

Labor is OK in this area.

Watsonville - We received some rain on Friday. This week temps will be in the high 70’s, with another chance of rain on Wednesday.

Unfortunately this area is still battling decay and pin rot from the last rain. Counts are 12-14.

Labor is shockingly tight right now. They’re hoping it will improve after the first week of May.

Mexico - Mexico plans to continue harvesting blackberries through May, as long as the weather holds (no high temps). Volume will drop mid-May.

Blueberries - Our blueberry growing regions include California and Georgia. Quality has been excellent, thanks to the warm days and cool nights. We will have significant volume through mid-June stemming from these regions.
