Quality: Heavy rains last week have increased water damage and pin rot. Crews are slowing down to sort through the fruit. Spring crop plants are growing nicely and light harvest will begin soon.
Volume: Conventional production is finishing for the fall season. Organic volumes are decreasing.
Pack Counts: Organic Fall Crop: 20-24.
Florida
Quality: Quality is great with occasional minor bruising.
Volume: Production is increasing.
Mexico
Quality: Quality is good with only occasional green shoulders.
Volume: Volume continues to increase.
Pack Counts: 18-24, 26-28 depending on the ranch.
BLUEBERRIES
Mexico
Quality: Quality is excellent.
Volume: Peak conventional production continues. Organic volume is light as the season gets underway.
Quality: Quality has been excellent all season.
Volume: The final containers will arrive in the next few weeks.
Peru
Quality: Fruit quality is good with occasional shrivel.
Volume: Final organic containers will arrive this week.
Chile
Quality: Quality is good overall with some overripe fruit due to hot weather.
Volume: Organic containers are arriving steadily. The first conventional container is expected to arrive in week 52.
