Crop Updates

STRAWBERRIES 

Santa Maria 

Quality: Conventional quality is good with nice size, shape, and color. Growers are working to mitigate occurrences of mildew due to cloudy, damp mornings. Organic fall crop quality is good with nice size and color. Organic spring crop quality is good with some bruised fruit and pin rot. Crews are working hard to turn in clean packs.  

Volume: Conventional and organic fall crop volumes are increasing each week. Organic spring crop production is steady.  

Pack Counts: Conventional Fall Crop: 12-15, 16-18 depending on ranch; Organic Fall Crop: 12-16 Organic Spring Crop: 25-32

Quality: Quality is good with some seedy, misshapen and soft fruit. 

Volume: Production is expected to increase for the next few weeks.

Quality: Quality is fair with some soft fruit due to high heat.

Volume: Steady, strong promotional volumes are available.
