STRAWBERRIES

Oxnard

Harvest Status: The first set of green fruit is coming in on fall crop plantings.

Santa Maria

Quality: Conventional fruit quality is good with nice size, shape, color, and taste. Occasional deformed tips and pin rot are the only defects. Organic fruit quality is fair with some pin rot and albino fruit.

Volume: Production will be steady for the next 2-3 weeks.

Pack Counts: Conventional Fall Crop: 18-22, 20-24 depending on ranch / Organic Fall Crop: 20-25 depending on ranch.

Florida

Harvest Status: Light harvests have started. Once production increases, a steady stream of fruit is expected through March.

Mexico

Quality: Fruit quality is good overall.

Volume: Production is increasing.

Pack Counts: 22-28 ct.

BLUEBERRIES

Mexico

Quality: Quality is excellent. 

Volume: Peak season for conventional fruit has started and is estimated to continue through week 50.

Quality: Quality continues to be excellent.

Volume: Production is decreasing for the season.

Quality: Quality is good with occasional shriveled berries.

Volume: Production continues to wind down. Shipments will continue to arrive through week 50.

Chile

Quality: Quality is great as the season picks up.

Volume: The first organic container is expected to arrive in the US in week 49 and the first conventional container in week 51.
