STRAWBERRIES

Oxnard

Harvest Status: Plants are have a strong first set of flowers and green fruit. Significant rain is forecasted early this week; impact assessments will take place after.

Quality: Growers are battling pin rot and water damage due to cool, wet mornings. Fruit size, shape, and taste are good.

Volume: Rain projected for early this week may slow down production.

Pack Counts: Conventional Fall Crop: 20-24 / Organic Fall Crop: 20-26

Florida

Harvest Status: First harvests look great with good quality fruit and only occasional misshapen or green tips.

Quality: Fruit quality is good and plants are loaded with green fruit and flowers.

Volume: Production continues to increase.

Mexico

Quality: Quality is good with nice bloom and only occasional shriveled fruit.

Volume: Conventional peak production continues and organic volumes are increasing.

Quality: Quality is excellent.

Volume: Containers will continue to be received into January.

Quality: Fruit quality is good with occasional shrivel.

Volume: Production is winding down for the season.

Chile

Quality: Quality is good. Heatwaves in central Chile are accelerating ripening.

Volume: The first containers are arriving in the US.
